This website presents Effora and its apps. No cookies are set and no tracking is used. The homepage remembers only two settings in your browser (local storage, not a cookie): light or dark mode and, if you choose it yourself, the language. They never leave your device. Personal data is processed only if you write to us using the contact form or by email; see below.
If you write to us using the contact form, we process the information you enter (name, email address and the text of your message) solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Providing your name and email address is voluntary; without them, however, we cannot reply to you.
Your message is delivered to us by email and stored in our mailbox. We do not pass it on to third parties and do not use it for advertising. We delete it as soon as it is no longer needed to answer your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
To protect against automated abuse, the form checks how long it took to fill in and limits the number of messages per sender. For this purpose, your IP address is counted for at most one hour, exclusively in working memory, and is not stored permanently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No third-party services and no cookies are used.
This website is hosted by Railway Corporation (USA). When you visit the site, Railway, acting as our processor, processes technically necessary server logs, such as IP address, time of access and the page requested. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in stable and secure operation. These logs are not combined with other data and are deleted automatically after a short time. As Railway is based in the USA, this may involve a transfer of data to a third country. Such transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
To know how many people visit this website, we count visits to the homepage on our own server, without cookies and without third-party services. For this, your browser transmits on each visit which website you came from (only its address, such as instagram.com) or which of our apps, and whether you tap a link to the App Store or Google Play. We derive the device type (such as iPhone or Android) from the browser's user agent.
So that several visits on the same day count as one visit, we create a checksum from your IP address and user agent together with a random value that is newly generated every day. Your IP address is not stored in the process. We delete the random value and the checksums at the end of the day, so visits can neither be linked across several days nor attributed to a person. Only daily totals are stored permanently. Nothing is stored on your device for this purpose. The data is kept in a database at Railway (see "Hosting"). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in simple, data-minimising audience measurement.
The homepage loads no content from other providers: fonts, images and videos are hosted on our own server. The German subpages for the legal notice, the privacy policy and the contact form load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from Simple Icons. When this content is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the website.
If you write to us by email, we process your information solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose.
This policy covers this website only. What the individual apps process on your device is described in their own privacy policies:
If you open one of these pages here, the "Hosting" section above applies to the visit itself; the pages are plain HTML files without cookies, without tracking and without embedded third-party content.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your personal data, the right to data portability and the right to object. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. If you have any questions, please contact kontakt@effora.digital.
